#Words do Hurt but Jesus Heals (Wounded by Words?)

5/5/2014

Words of violence and hatred are thrown across cyber-space and destroying others in what we call cyber-bullying. This includes the use of cell phones with internet and text capabilities. It really does not make a difference what manner or tool is used. It is still bullying; and it has been around for decades and even centuries. There is still damage at its wake.

I remember as a child I was bullied mercilessly by the other kids at the school. Many people can say that they, too, were victims.  Rejection is hard on children and teenagers; hate language and extensive bullying adds salt to the wound.

No one should have to put up with this behavior. But it happens constantly. Although about 95% often ignore the taunts and hate words; at least 25% of kids fall victim and either turn the anger on others as another aggressor or turns the anger inward and self-destruct. http://nobullying.com/cyber-bullying-statistics-2014/

Jesus is a counselor and can heal the very wounds caused by verbal abuse and hate language. This does not have to turn into a tragedy. We as human beings are created on purpose and with much care and deliberation.

"I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are thy works and my soul knows right well."  Psalm 139:14

What does Jesus your creator think about you? He put great thought to how he made you; with much care and love. You are no mistake.

"The Lord among you is powerful-he will save and take joyful delight in you. In his love he will renew you. " Zephaniah 3:17

You are valuable as a person. There is a purpose to your life. There is hope for you. Most people live below their potential, simply because are not encouraged to discover it. What is the reason for your life? This is more than just a philosophical argument. Don't settle for what others say to you- about you. Find out for yourself what God says about you. He loves you.

Blessings
