Your Name

Walking into a conference, we are normally handed a card or sticker where we write our names and then either stick it on our shirts or slide it into a plastic badge sleeve. We then put it where? On our shirt or jacket-close to our heart.
Can I ask you, today, where is your name? Is it really close to your heart. When you speak your name are you pleased or disgusted. Do you feel regret or peace of mind. Can you sleep at  night knowing that you lived a day, impacting people for the good? Or a day of shame, wondering what happened during the last 6 hours at that party? Maybe you are in trouble with the law or lost a job because of illegal or unethical behavior.
The worst or best possession you have is your reputation.
  • Proverbs 22:1"A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favor rather than silver and gold." No matter how bad the situation or the person is. Be polite, courteous and professional. Keep a kind spirit about you. You may need to travel that way again.

  • Romans 14:16 "Let not then your good be evil spoken of." Remember that perception is reality and integrity is your best armor. Take control of your person. Love you and, if need be forgive yourself and others. Remove any motive for mischief. Then do all with a motive of love and respect toward yourself and others. Above all be thankful, always. God Bless.
